Double gallbladder is a rare anatomical anomaly (approximately 1/4000), develops during fetal life and is of great clinical significance as it can lead to a significant increase in the likelihood of complications during the patient’s lifetime.

The removal of two biliary cysts (in the same patient) was successfully performed at the ANASSA clinic by the clinic’s laparoscopic surgeons, Mrs. Angeliki Yovannis and Mr. Leonidas Mavrogiannis. This is a rare case and this particular operation requires excellent knowledge of the anatomy of the bile ducts and the liver and experience in laparoscopic surgery.
