It is estimated that 1 in 8 women worldwide will develop breast cancer at some point in their lives.
Smoking cessation, physical exercise, a healthy diet, limiting alcohol consumption, avoiding carcinogens in the environment and avoiding sun exposure contribute positively.
On NOVEMBER 5, 2019, in Velestino, an information and clinical breast examination program for women will be held in a collaboration of the Health Department of the Municipality of Riga Ferai with the ΄ANASSA Clinic, the Velestino Health Center and the Women’s Association “Superior Fountain”.
The women will be examined by General Surgeons Ms. Giovanni Angeliki and Mr. Maraveya Konstantinos and will be informed by the Midwives of the Health Center about the preventive check.
Also, in the same program, spirometry and respiratory function tests will be carried out by Pulmonologist Ms. Psatha Angeliki, where men and women, smokers or ex-smokers as well as people with chronic respiratory problems will have the opportunity to perform them, with the aim of preventing and protecting their health.
The above health program reminds all women of the importance of prevention and early diagnosis for breast cancer, and for women and men the value of screening for proper respiratory function.
