It is a Multicenter, International Phase III study, in which some of the leading hospitals around the world are participating. It is noted that phase III of a clinical trial, refers to a controlled trial of treatments in humans, where the efficacy and safety of the new drug is tested in comparison to the prevailing treatments. The drug is being tested in a very large sample of people suffering from the disease with trials involving thousands of volunteers.
