Special health team consisting of doctors and nurses from the ANASSA Clinic and Polyclinic, visited the facilities of the Volos Gymnastics Club, from 21 to 29/5/2020, implementing a program of sports tests , granting medical certificates to athletes and technical staff of the Association.
The specific actions of ANASSA are harmonized with the instructions of the General Secretariat of Sports for the start of training in organized public and private sports facilities, undertaking the clinical examination and filling in the relevant medical form certification of the specific Sports Club, which allow the athlete to start training. In case it is deemed necessary, it is possible to carry out additional specialized tests at ANASSA, e.g. molecular tests for Covid-19.
It is clarified that the above examinations – certificates are provided free of charge to the Volos Gymnastics Club by the ANASSA Clinic and its doctors, as a reward for the trust of the Association and its athletes in quality cardiac preventive checks carried out in the Clinic. For this reason, ANASSA created a fully equipped clinic in the sports area of the Gymnastics Club, strengthening the cooperation between the two organizations even more. It is worth noting that for any additional need in health services, all departments of ANASSA are at the disposal of athletes and sports clubs.
The doctors who participated in the program were Pathologist Mr. Konstantinos Spyropoulos, the Cardiologist Mr. Dertsas Konstantinos, the Pulmonologist Ms. Psatha Angeliki and the Pathologist Ms. Maurakana Vaia.
An action similar to that of the Volos Gynastics Club, took place during the same period of time at the premises of the Polyclinic of ANASSA for the O.E.A. – N.A.B. led by Cardiologist Ms. Theodora Karotsaki.
The above medical certificates are issued and submitted to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in sports and to restart sports activity in safe conditions.
In the ANASSA group actions in the sports arenas, all prescribed precautions regarding protection against the coronavirus are strictly observed, e.g. keeping distances, using antiseptics, masks, etc., so that the quality provision of health services is combined with maximum safety.
